Downers Grove, IL is a village located in DuPage County, Illinois, about 22 miles west of downtown Chicago. It is a vibrant and diverse community with a population of over 49,000 people. The village is known for its historic downtown area, which features many unique shops and restaurants. It also has several parks and recreational areas, including the Downers Grove Golf Club and the Downers Grove Historical Museum.
The village was founded in 1832 by Pierce Downer, who named it after himself. Since then, it has grown into a thriving community with a strong sense of identity and pride. The village is home to several large employers such as Advocate Health Care and Fermilab.
