Marion, Iowa is a vibrant city located in Linn County, just north of Cedar Rapids. It is home to a population of over 36,000 people and is the second largest city in the county. Marion is known for its small-town charm and friendly atmosphere.
The city has a rich history that dates back to 1839 when it was founded by settlers from Ohio. The city was named after Francis Marion, a Revolutionary War hero. Since then, Marion has grown into a thriving community with many businesses and attractions.
The downtown area of Marion is filled with unique shops and restaurants that offer something for everyone. There are also several parks and trails throughout the city that provide plenty of outdoor activities for residents and visitors alike.
