Statesboro, Georgia is a small city located in Bulloch County in the southeastern part of the state. It is the county seat and home to Georgia Southern University. The city has a population of around 30,000 people and is known for its vibrant downtown area, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
The city was founded in 1803 and has a rich history that includes being the birthplace of blues legend Blind Willie McTell. It also served as an important stop on the Savannah-Ogeechee Canal during the 19th century. Today, Statesboro is home to several historic sites including the Averitt Center for the Arts, which houses an art gallery and theater.
