Richmond Hill, Georgia is a small city located in Bryan County, just south of Savannah. It is a charming and vibrant community with a population of approximately 11,000 people. The city is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, including the Ogeechee River and the nearby Fort McAllister State Park.
The city has a rich history that dates back to the early 1800s when it was founded by Thomas Spalding. Richmond Hill was originally named Ways Station after the nearby Ways Station Post Office. In 1876, the name was changed to Richmond Hill in honor of Spalding's hometown in Virginia.
Today, Richmond Hill is home to many businesses and attractions that make it an ideal place to live and visit. The city has several parks and recreational areas, including J.F Gregory Park which features a playground, picnic area, walking trails, and more. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as shopping centers and restaurants.
