Hampton, Georgia Description
Hampton, Georgia is a small city located in Henry County, about 30 miles south of Atlanta. It is a charming and vibrant community with a population of approximately 6,500 people. The city was founded in 1873 and has a rich history that includes being the birthplace of the famous blues musician Blind Willie McTell.
The downtown area of Hampton is full of historic buildings and homes, many of which have been restored to their original beauty. There are several parks and recreational areas throughout the city, including the Hampton City Park which features a playground, picnic pavilion, walking trails, and more.
