Flowery Branch, Georgia is a small city located in Hall County, about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta. It is situated along the banks of Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River. The city has a population of around 6,000 people and is known for its quaint downtown area with historic buildings and unique shops.
The city was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers who named it after the nearby Flowery Branch Creek. The creek was named for the abundance of wildflowers that grew along its banks. The city has grown steadily over the years and today it is home to several businesses, including a variety of restaurants, retail stores, and professional services.
Flowery Branch is also home to several parks and recreational areas, including the Flowery Branch Historic District which features several historic homes from the late 19th century.
