Douglasville, Georgia is a city located in Douglas County, just west of Atlanta. It is the county seat and has a population of around 30,000 people. The city was founded in 1875 and named after Senator Stephen A. Douglas.
Douglasville is known for its historic downtown area, which features many old buildings and homes from the 19th century. The downtown area also has several restaurants, shops, and galleries that attract visitors from all over the region.
The city is home to several parks and recreational areas including Sweetwater Creek State Park, which offers hiking trails, fishing spots, and camping sites. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as a variety of other outdoor activities such as biking and horseback riding.
