Dahlonega, Georgia is a small city located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia. It is the county seat of Lumpkin County and is known for its historic downtown area, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries. The city is also home to the University of North Georgia, which was founded in 1873 as North Georgia College & State University.
