Cumming, Georgia is a city located in Forsyth County, about 40 miles north of Atlanta. It is the county seat and the largest city in the county. The population was estimated to be 6,800 in 2019.

Cumming is known for its historic downtown area, which features a variety of shops and restaurants. The city also has several parks and recreational areas, including Sawnee Mountain Preserve and Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

The city is home to several educational institutions, including Forsyth Central High School, North Georgia Technical College, and Lanier Technical College. There are also several private schools in the area.
