Blairsville, Georgia is a small mountain town located in the Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia. It is the county seat of Union County and has a population of just over 600 people. The town is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is surrounded by lush forests, rolling hills, and beautiful lakes.
The town was founded in 1835 and has a rich history that includes being an important stop on the Great Wagon Road during the 1800s. Today, Blairsville is known for its outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, and boating. There are several state parks nearby including Vogel State Park and Moccasin Creek State Park which offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation.
