Yulee, Florida Description
Yulee is a small town located in Nassau County, Florida, United States. It is situated on the banks of the Nassau River and is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area. The population was 11,491 at the 2010 census. Yulee is home to many businesses and industries, including a large number of retail stores and restaurants.
The town has a rich history that dates back to 1804 when it was founded by David Levy Yulee, who was a prominent politician in Florida during the 19th century. He established a railroad line that ran through Yulee and connected Fernandina Beach with Cedar Key. This railroad line helped to spur economic growth in the area and made Yulee an important hub for commerce and transportation.
Today, Yulee is known for its beautiful natural scenery and outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, camping, hiking, bird watching, and more.
