Princeton, Florida is a small town located in Escambia County, in the northwest corner of the state. It is situated on the banks of the Escambia River and is part of the Pensacola metropolitan area. The town has a population of just over 1,000 people and covers an area of 2.2 square miles.

The town was founded in 1821 by settlers from Georgia and Alabama who were looking for a place to settle down and start their own community. The town was named after Princeton University in New Jersey, which was founded by one of its original settlers.
