Port St. Joe is a small city located in the panhandle of Florida, USA. It is situated on the Gulf of Mexico and is part of Gulf County. The city has a population of around 3,500 people and covers an area of 4.2 square miles.
The city was founded in 1835 and was originally known as St. Joseph’s by its founders, who were mostly fishermen from the Bahamas. The city was later renamed Port St. Joe in 1923 when it became a port for shipping lumber from the nearby Apalachicola National Forest.
Port St. Joe is known for its beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, making it a popular destination for tourists looking to relax and enjoy some sun and surf.
