Pembroke, FL is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state of Florida. It is situated in the heart of the Florida Panhandle, just north of Pensacola and south of Panama City. The town has a population of around 1,500 people and covers an area of approximately 2.5 square miles.

The town was founded in 1883 by settlers from Georgia and Alabama who were looking for a place to settle down and start their own farms. The town was named after Pembroke, Georgia, which was the hometown of one of the original settlers.

The Pembroke Watermelon Festival takes place each summer celebrating all things watermelon with live music performances from local bands as well as food vendors selling watermelon-themed treats like ice cream sundaes topped with watermelon slices!
