Pace, Florida Description

Pace is a small town located in the Florida Panhandle, about 25 miles northeast of Pensacola. It is part of Santa Rosa County and has a population of approximately 20,000 people. The town was founded in 1821 and named after the Pace family who were among the first settlers in the area.

The town is known for its rural charm and friendly atmosphere. It has a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy such as fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and bird watching. There are also several parks and trails to explore. The Blackwater River State Park is located nearby and offers canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and other recreational activities.

The town also has a vibrant downtown area with shops, restaurants, galleries, and other attractions. There are several annual festivals held throughout the year including the Pace Jubilee Festival which celebrates local culture with music, food, artisans, and more.

Pace is home to several schools including Pace High School which serves grades 9-12 as well as an elementary school and middle school. The University of West Florida is located nearby in Pensacola offering higher education opportunities for those living in Pace.
