Macclenny, FL, USA is a small town located in Baker County, Florida. It is situated about 25 miles west of Jacksonville and is the county seat of Baker County. The population of Macclenny was estimated to be 6,374 in 2019.
The town was founded in 1883 by John Richard MacClenny and named after him. It was originally a farming community but has since grown into a small city with many businesses and services. The town has several parks, including the Macclenny City Park which features a playground, picnic area, and walking trails. There are also several churches in the area as well as a library and museum.
The climate in Macclenny is humid subtropical with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature ranges from the mid-50s to mid-80s throughout the year. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year with an average of over 50 inches per year.
