Lynn Haven is a small city located in Bay County, Florida. It is situated on the north side of St. Andrews Bay and is part of the Panama City-Lynn Haven metropolitan area. The city has a population of approximately 20,000 people and covers an area of 8.3 square miles.

The city was founded in 1911 by William Lynn, who named it after his daughter, Lynn Haven. It was incorporated as a town in 1927 and became a city in 1957.

The climate in Lynn Haven is humid subtropical with hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature ranges from the mid-50s to mid-80s throughout the year. The area receives an average of 54 inches of rain per year, most of which falls during the summer months.

The economy of Lynn Haven is largely based on tourism and retail businesses. There are several popular attractions in the area including Frank Brown Park, which features a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, camping, and more; Gulf World Marine Park; and St. Andrews State Park which offers beach access and nature trails for hiking and biking. There are also several shopping centers located throughout the city that offer a variety of stores for visitors to explore.

Lynn Haven is served by Bay District Schools which includes four elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, and one charter school. The city also has several private schools as well as Gulf Coast State College which offers associate degrees and certificate programs for students looking to further their education or pursue career training opportunities.
