Largo, Florida is a city located in Pinellas County, on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It is the third largest city in the Tampa Bay area and is home to over 100,000 people. The city has a tropical climate with hot summers and mild winters.
The city of Largo is known for its beautiful beaches and parks. It has several miles of white sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, as well as numerous parks and nature preserves. Popular attractions include Largo Central Park, which features a large lake with paddle boats and kayaks for rent, as well as picnic areas and playgrounds; Eagle Lake Park, which offers fishing, boating, and camping; and Walsingham Park, which has a nature trail and bird watching opportunities.
Largo also has a vibrant downtown area with many restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, theaters, and other entertainment venues. The city also hosts several annual festivals such as the Largo Music Festival in April and the Largo Cultural Arts Festival in October.
Largo is served by two major airports: St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) and Tampa International Airport (TPA). The city also has an extensive public transportation system that includes buses operated by Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA).
