Land O' Lakes, FL is a census-designated place located in Pasco County, Florida. It is situated about 20 miles north of Tampa and is part of the Tampa Bay Area. The population was 31,145 at the 2010 census.
The area was originally settled by Native Americans and later by settlers from the United States. The name Land O' Lakes was derived from a local lake that was once known as Lake O' Lakes. The lake has since been renamed Lake Padgett.
The area is known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, camping, hiking, biking, and bird watching. There are several parks in the area including Lake Padgett Park which offers a variety of recreational activities such as swimming, picnicking, and playgrounds. There are also several golf courses in the area including Quail Hollow Golf Course which is one of the top rated courses in Florida.
