Ensley, Florida Description
Ensley is a small town located in Escambia County, Florida. It is situated on the western edge of Pensacola Bay and is part of the Pensacola metropolitan area. The town has a population of just over 1,000 people and covers an area of 0.6 square miles.
The town was founded in 1885 by William Ensley, who named it after himself. It was originally a farming community and was known for its production of cotton, corn, and other crops. In the early 1900s, the town began to grow as more people moved to the area for work in the timber industry.
Today, Ensley is a quiet residential community with many historic homes and buildings that have been preserved from its past.
