Davie, Florida is a town located in Broward County, just west of Fort Lauderdale. It is home to over 90,000 people and is known for its rural atmosphere and small-town charm. The town was founded in 1910 by R.P. Davie, a former mayor of Miami, and has since grown into a vibrant community with plenty of activities for residents and visitors alike.
The town is home to several parks and recreational areas, including Tree Tops Park which offers camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and more. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as the Flamingo Gardens Wildlife Sanctuary which features over 3,000 species of plants and animals.
Davie also has a variety of shopping centers and restaurants that offer everything from traditional American fare to international cuisine. The town also hosts several annual events such as the Davie Pro Rodeo which takes place every April at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.
The town is served by two major highways: I-595 and I-75 which make it easy to get around the area or travel further out into South Florida. The nearest airport is Fort Lauderdale International Airport which is only about 15 miles away from Davie.
