Crestview, Florida is a small city located in the northern part of the state, just south of the Alabama border. It is part of Okaloosa County and has a population of around 22,000 people. The city is known for its rural charm and friendly atmosphere.
The area was first settled in 1810 by settlers from Georgia and Alabama who were looking for new land to farm. The town was officially incorporated in 1916 and has since grown into a thriving community with a variety of businesses, restaurants, and attractions.
The climate in Crestview is mild year-round with temperatures rarely dropping below freezing during the winter months. Summers are hot and humid with temperatures reaching into the 90s on some days. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year, making it an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, and biking.
Crestview is home to several parks including Twin Hills Park which features a playground, picnic areas, walking trails, and a lake for fishing. There are also several golf courses in the area including Foxwood Country Club which offers an 18-hole championship course as well as a driving range and pro shop.
The downtown area of Crestview offers plenty of shopping opportunities with stores ranging from antique shops to clothing boutiques. There are also several restaurants offering everything from seafood to Mexican cuisine. The city also hosts several festivals throughout the year including the annual Crestview Christmas Parade which takes place each December.
