Casselberry, FL is a city located in Seminole County, Florida. It is part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city has a population of over 27,000 people and covers an area of 8.5 square miles.
The city was founded in 1940 and was originally known as “Camelot” before being renamed Casselberry in 1945. The city is home to many parks and recreational areas including Secret Lake Park, which features a lake with fishing piers, playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking trails. There are also several golf courses in the area including Casselberry Golf Club and Twin Rivers Golf Club.
The city has a variety of shopping centers and restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines from around the world. There are also several museums and cultural attractions such as the Casselberry Historical Museum which showcases local history and artifacts from the area.
Casselberry is served by two major highways: US 17/92 and State Road 436. The city is also served by SunRail commuter rail service which connects it to downtown Orlando and other nearby cities. The nearest airport is Orlando International Airport which is about 25 miles away from the city center.
