Belleview, FL is a small town located in Marion County, Florida. It is situated about 20 miles south of Ocala and about 50 miles northwest of Orlando. The population of Belleview is estimated to be around 4,500 people.
The town was founded in 1884 by Captain Thomas Mays and named after his daughter, Belle. It was originally a farming community but has since grown into a residential area with many businesses and services.
The town has several parks including Belleview Park which features a playground, picnic areas, and walking trails. There are also several golf courses in the area including the Ocala National Golf Club and the Country Club of Ocala.
Belleview is home to several schools including Belleview Elementary School, Belleview Middle School, and Belleview High School. The town also has its own library as well as a post office and police department.
