Norwalk, Connecticut is a city located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. It is situated on the Long Island Sound and is part of the Greater New York City metropolitan area. The city has a population of around 88,000 people and covers an area of 36 square miles.
Norwalk is known for its vibrant downtown area which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The city also has several parks and recreational areas including Calf Pasture Beach, Norwalk Harbor, and Taylor Farm Park. There are also numerous museums and historical sites such as the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum and the Norwalk Historical Society Museum.
The city is home to several educational institutions including Norwalk Community College, Sacred Heart University's Stamford campus, and the University of Bridgeport's Norwalk campus. There are also several private schools in the area such as King Low Heywood Thomas School and St. Luke's School.
