Meriden, Connecticut is a city located in New Haven County, Connecticut. It is situated in the center of the state, between Hartford and New Haven. The city has a population of approximately 60,000 people and covers an area of 24.2 square miles.
Meriden is known for its rich history and culture. It was founded in 1806 as a manufacturing center for silverware and other metal products. The city was home to several prominent silverware companies such as Meriden Britannia Company, International Silver Company, and Rogers Brothers Silver Company.
