Hartford, Connecticut is the capital of the state and the county seat of Hartford County. It is located in the north-central part of the state on the Connecticut River, near the Massachusetts border. The city has a population of about 125,000 people and is home to many historic sites, museums, and cultural attractions.
The city was founded in 1635 by English settlers and has a rich history that dates back to colonial times.
