Westcliffe, Colorado is a small town located in the Wet Mountain Valley of Custer County. It is nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and surrounded by breathtaking views of the Collegiate Peaks. The town has a population of just over 500 people and is known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities.
The town was founded in 1878 as a mining camp and quickly grew to become an important center for ranching, logging, and tourism. Westcliffe is home to several historic buildings including the old courthouse, which was built in 1881 and now serves as a museum. The town also boasts several art galleries, restaurants, shops, and other attractions that make it a popular destination for visitors from all over the world.
