Silverthorne, Colorado is a small mountain town located in Summit County, Colorado. It is situated at the base of the Tenmile Range and is surrounded by the White River National Forest. The town has a population of around 4,500 people and is known for its outdoor recreation opportunities.
The town was founded in 1883 as a mining camp and was named after one of the first settlers, William Silverthorne. The town has grown over the years to become a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the Rocky Mountains.
