Colorado Springs is a city located in the state of Colorado, USA. It is situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains and is known for its stunning views of Pikes Peak. The city has a population of over 450,000 people and is the second most populous city in Colorado.

The city has a rich history, having been founded in 1871 as a resort town. It was also home to many prominent figures such as General William Palmer and Helen Hunt Jackson. Today, it is home to several military installations including the United States Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base and Schriever Air Force Base.

The climate in Colorado Springs is generally mild with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature ranges from highs of around 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius) during the summer months to lows of around 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-7 degrees Celsius) during the winter months.
