Watsonville, California Description
Watsonville is a city in Santa Cruz County, California, United States. It is located on the Pajaro River about 30 miles (48 km) south of San Jose and is home to over 53,000 people. Watsonville is known for its rich agricultural heritage and its diverse population. The city has a long history of farming and ranching, with many of the original settlers coming from Mexico and other parts of Latin America.
The climate in Watsonville is mild year-round with temperatures rarely reaching above 90 degrees Fahrenheit or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The area receives an average of 20 inches of rain per year, making it ideal for growing crops such as strawberries, apples, lettuce, and artichokes.
