Thousand Oaks, California is a city located in the southeastern corner of Ventura County, approximately 40 miles northwest of Los Angeles. It is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area and is known for its affluence and natural beauty. The city has a population of over 130,000 people and is home to many affluent neighborhoods, including Westlake Village and Newbury Park.
The city is surrounded by rolling hills and mountains, making it an ideal place for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, and camping. Thousand Oaks also has several parks and recreational areas including Wildwood Regional Park, Conejo Valley Botanic Garden, and Paradise Falls.
The city has a vibrant economy with many large companies based in the area such as Amgen, Baxter International Inc., Teledyne Technologies Inc., and Dole Food Company. Thousand Oaks also has a thriving arts scene with several theaters and galleries located throughout the city.
