San Rafael is a city in Marin County, California, located in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the county seat of Marin County and is located just north of San Francisco. The city has a population of 57,713 and covers an area of 22.4 square miles.
San Rafael is known for its mild climate and beautiful scenery. The city is surrounded by rolling hills and lush green valleys, with views of Mount Tamalpais to the south and the San Pablo Bay to the east.
