Rancho Santa Fe, California Description
Rancho Santa Fe is a small, affluent community located in San Diego County, California. It is situated in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains and is bordered by the cities of Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, and San Marcos. The area is known for its rolling hills, lush vegetation, and Mediterranean climate.
The community was founded in 1928 by developer A.E. Hanson and was originally designed as a rural residential community with large lots and expansive views of the surrounding countryside. Today, Rancho Santa Fe remains an exclusive enclave of luxury homes with many properties featuring private gated entrances and sprawling estates on acreage.
The town center features a variety of upscale shops and restaurants as well as a post office, library, fire station, and several churches. There are also several golf courses in the area including The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe which has been rated one of the top courses in California.
Rancho Santa Fe is home to some of San Diego's most affluent residents who enjoy its peaceful atmosphere and close proximity to beaches, mountains, shopping centers, and other attractions. The area also offers excellent schools with high test scores as well as numerous parks for outdoor recreation.
