Palm Desert is a city located in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California. It is one of the nine cities of the Coachella Valley and is known for its warm climate and desert landscape. Palm Desert is a popular destination for golfers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The city has a population of approximately 50,000 people and covers an area of 27 square miles. The city is bordered by Indian Wells to the north, La Quinta to the west, Indio to the east, and Cathedral City to the south.

The climate in Palm Desert is hot and dry with temperatures ranging from 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit during summer months and 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit during winter months. The area receives very little rainfall throughout the year with an average annual precipitation of only 4 inches.

The city has many attractions including El Paseo Shopping District which features upscale shopping and dining options as well as art galleries, museums, and theaters. Other attractions include Living Desert Zoo & Gardens which features native plants and animals from around the world; The McCallum Theatre which hosts concerts, plays, musicals, comedy shows; The Children's Discovery Museum which offers interactive exhibits for children; The Indian Canyons which offer hiking trails through canyons filled with native plants; The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which takes visitors up 8500 feet into Mt San Jacinto State Park; The Coachella Valley Preserve which offers hiking trails through desert landscapes; Joshua Tree National Park which features unique rock formations; and much more!

Palm Desert also offers a variety of outdoor activities such as golfing at one of its many championship courses or taking a hot air balloon ride over the desert landscape. There are also plenty of restaurants offering cuisine from all over the world as well as local favorites like Mexican food or date shakes.
