Lake Forest, California Description
Lake Forest is a city located in Orange County, California, United States. It is situated along the Santa Ana River and borders the cities of Irvine, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, and Rancho Santa Margarita. The city was incorporated in 1991 and has a population of approximately 80,000 people.
Lake Forest is known for its beautiful parks and trails that offer plenty of outdoor activities for residents to enjoy. The city is home to several large parks such as Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, Heritage Hill Historical Park, and Lake Forest Sports Park. These parks provide plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, camping, and other recreational activities. Additionally, Lake Forest has several golf courses including the El Toro Country Club and the Tijeras Creek Golf Course.
The city also offers a variety of shopping options including the Foothill Ranch Towne Center which features stores such as Target and Best Buy as well as restaurants like BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. There are also several smaller shopping centers throughout the city that offer unique boutiques and specialty stores.
Lake Forest is served by two school districts: Saddleback Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) and Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD). SVUSD serves most of Lake Forest while CUSD serves some areas in the northern part of the city. Both districts offer excellent educational opportunities for students from kindergarten through high school.
