Jurupa Valley, California Description
Jurupa Valley is a city located in Riverside County, California, United States. It is situated in the western part of the Inland Empire region and is bordered by the cities of Riverside to the north, Mira Loma to the east, Rubidoux to the south, and Pedley to the west. The city covers an area of approximately 33 square miles and has a population of over 100,000 people.
The city was incorporated in 2011 and is home to many parks and recreational areas. The Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center is a popular attraction that offers educational programs about local wildlife and plants. The center also features a butterfly garden, bird watching area, and nature trails. Other attractions include the Jurupa Valley Community Center which offers a variety of activities for all ages including swimming lessons, fitness classes, sports leagues, and more.
The city also has several shopping centers including The Marketplace at Jurupa Valley which features stores such as Target, Kohl's, Best Buy, Petco, Ross Dress for Less and more. There are also several restaurants in the area ranging from fast food chains to family-style dining establishments.
Jurupa Valley is served by two school districts: Jurupa Unified School District and Riverside Unified School District. Both districts offer elementary schools through high schools as well as adult education programs. There are also several private schools in the area including St. Joseph Catholic School and Calvary Chapel Christian School.
