Cajon, CA is a small city located in San Bernardino County, California. It is situated in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and is part of the Greater Los Angeles Area. The population of Cajon is approximately 40,000 people.

The city was founded in 1851 by Mexican settlers who named it after a nearby mountain peak called El Cajon de Santa Ana. The area was originally used for cattle ranching and farming, but has since grown into a bustling suburban community.

Cajon is home to several parks and recreational areas, including the popular Cajon Pass Park which offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and a lake for fishing. There are also several golf courses in the area as well as an equestrian center.

The city has a vibrant downtown area with many shops and restaurants to explore. There are also several museums and art galleries to visit. The city hosts numerous festivals throughout the year such as the annual Cajon Classic Car Show and the Cajon Days Festival which celebrates local culture and history.

Cajon is served by two major highways: Interstate 15 and State Route 138. It is also served by Metrolink commuter rail service which connects it to other cities in Southern California such as Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange County.
