Adelanto, California Description
Adelanto is a city located in the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California. It is situated in the Victor Valley area of the High Desert region, approximately 85 miles northeast of Los Angeles and 35 miles north of San Bernardino. Adelanto was incorporated in 1970 and has a population of 33,086 as of 2020.
The city is home to several industrial parks and businesses, including the Adelanto Airport, which serves as a hub for air cargo operations. The city also has a large number of recreational activities available, such as golf courses, parks, and trails. Adelanto is also home to several educational institutions, including Victor Valley College and University Preparatory School.
Adelanto has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters. The average high temperature in July is 97°F (36°C) and the average low temperature in January is 37°F (3°C). The area receives an average annual rainfall of 8 inches (20 cm).
Adelanto has a diverse population with many different cultures represented.
