Show Low, Arizona Description
Show Low is a city located in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. It is situated at an elevation of 6,400 feet (1,951 m) in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. The city was established in 1870 and incorporated in 1953. As of the 2010 census, the population of Show Low was 10,660.
Show Low is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to several recreational areas such as Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The city has a variety of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing and skiing. It also has several restaurants and shops for visitors to enjoy.
The climate in Show Low is semi-arid with hot summers and cold winters. Average temperatures range from a low of 20°F (-7°C) in January to a high of 85°F (29°C) in July. The area receives an average annual precipitation of 17 inches (43 cm).
Show Low is home to several educational institutions including Northland Pioneer College and Show Low High School. The city also has several parks and recreational facilities such as Show Low City Park and Show Low Skate Park. There are also numerous churches located throughout the city for those seeking spiritual guidance or fellowship.
