Adobe was founded in 1881 as a mining camp and was originally called "Rincon". The town was later renamed Adobe after adobe bricks were used to build many of its buildings. Today, Adobe is home to several businesses, including a post office, a gas station, a grocery store, and several restaurants.

The town's main attraction is its natural beauty. Adobe sits at an elevation of 2,500 feet and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding desert landscape.
