Pinson, AL is a small town located in the northeastern part of Jefferson County, Alabama. It is situated just off of Interstate 59 and is about 20 miles north of Birmingham. The population of Pinson is approximately 7,000 people.
The town was founded in 1818 and has a rich history that includes being the site of a Civil War battle in 1863. The town has grown over the years and now offers many amenities to its residents. There are several parks, including a large city park with walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. There are also several churches in the area as well as a library and community center.
The economy of Pinson is largely based on agriculture and manufacturing. There are several farms in the area that produce corn, soybeans, cotton, hay, and other crops. There are also several factories that produce automotive parts and other products for local businesses.
