Guntersville, AL, USA is a small city located in the northern part of Alabama. It is situated on the banks of Lake Guntersville, a large reservoir created by the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1939. The city has a population of 8,719 people and covers an area of 16.2 square miles.
The city is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. There are numerous parks and trails to explore, including Guntersville State Park which offers camping, fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking opportunities. The lake itself is home to many species of fish including bass, crappie, catfish and bream.
The downtown area of Guntersville features several historic buildings such as the Marshall County Courthouse and the First National Bank Building. There are also several restaurants and shops to explore in the downtown area.
