Seneca was also a writer, philosopher, tutor, and adviser to Emperor Nero\u2026 Seneca&#8217;s written works were favorites of Ralph Waldo Emerson, John of Salisbury, Erasmus, and others.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Here are a few nuggets of wisdom mined from Seneca&#8217;s works:<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<em>all applicable to realty, business, and life today<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; It&#8217;s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It&#8217;s because we dare not venture that they are difficult.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The greatest remedy for anger is delay.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Great men rejoice in adversity, just as brave soldiers triumph in war.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; It is not the man who has little, but he who desires more, that is poor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Happy is the man who can endure the highest and lowest fortune.
