Decide on the type of paint.
Figure out the square footage of the area being painted.
Decide on the color paint and make sure it matches the style of your home.
Buy appropriate amount of paint.
Powerwash to clean the house before painting.
Prep the exterior surface to be painted.
Cover any windows or surfaces that are not to be painted.
Cover the perimeter of the home with drop cloths.
Apply a prime coat to raw wood.
