Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Museum
Posted October 24, 2008 by Ima Local
The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Museum is a great destination for families with children. Located just south of the Virginia Beach boardwalk, the Marine Science Museum is a quick drive or even walk from most boardwalk hotels. The building sits along the Rudee Inlet and features a fun marshland walking trail. Kids of all ages will enjoy the hands-on marine life exhibits, demonstrations, and tours. In addition to on-site exhibitions, the museum provides opportunities to participate in dolphin and whale watching excursions. The Marine Science Museum also shows IMAX movies daily. Kids will love the chance to get up close and personal with Virginia marine life. Parents will learn just as much about Virginia’s coastal environment. The museum will be most crowded on a rainy day during the height of tourist season, so plan your visit well.
