University of South Florida Botanical Gardens

Located in the southwest corner of the USF Tampa campus, the USF Botanical Gardens offer families a chance to explore a variety of gardens and habitats. The garden includes of six acres of landscape displays and greenhouse collections. Kids will love exploring the carnivorous plants and butterfly exhibits while everyone in the family can enjoy walking among the beauty of fruit and palm trees from around the world. The garden is also located adjacent to the small, serene Lake Behnke and offers ample paths for strolling and enjoying the scenery. Be sure to visit the shade and herb gardens and check out the garden’s book and plant shop for unique gifts and books to help remember your visit.

Check the calendar of events as the garden has periodic gardening shows and workshops, plant sales, and musical performances throughout the year.

The gardens are open on the weekdays from 9am - 5pm, 9am - 4pm on Saturdays and noon - 4pm on Sundays. Admission to the garden is free except during special events and plant sales.
