Toledo Zoo
Posted October 22, 2008 by Ima Local
Parents looking for a fun, safe, and educational place to bring children should consider the Toledo Zoo. Featuring animals and plants from around the world, the Zoo is a great place to visit at any time of year. Summer is traditional, but the animals are much more active when the weather turns cold! The zoo is intended for animal lovers of any age, but kids will especially enjoy the Children’s Zoo, interactive exhibits, and educational displays! Located right on the river north of Walbridge Park, the Zoo is clean and provides a welcome escape from city life. For tourists, the Toledo Zoo is one of the largest and most modern zoos in the United States. Food is available at the Zoo, or visit one of the nearby pizza shops to save some money. While you’re there, don’t miss the famous white lions and the rest of the African animal exhibit!
