The Pink Palace Museum
Posted October 24, 2008 by Ima Local
The Pink Palace in Memphis Tennessee features an IMAX theatre and is open daily. Monday through Saturday’s hours are 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday’s hours are 12pm - 5 pm. Admission to the museum is free on Tuesdays, from 1 pm to close, but does not include the IMAX or Planetarium shows. They feature a walk through replica of the first self service store in the country, the Piggly Wiggly. There are lots of cultural and natural exhibits such as tracing development of Memphis from Spanish explorers until the present. There is also information on fossils and dinosaurs and how animals have changed over the years. They feature several different touring exhibits throughout the year. The planetarium lets you travel the universe in your seat. They are open Tuesday through Saturday. Overall, this is a great place for everyone.
