The Geranium Festival in McDonough, Georgia

The Geranium Festival is one of the community events that makes McDonough, Georgia a desirable place to live.  With small town charm and a close-knit community, McDonough has been awarded the City of Ethics honor.  McDonough strives for historic preservation and downtown revitalization, and community events such as the Geranium Festival has helped further this goal.

In 2008, The Geranium Festival will be celebrating its 31st year.  This is an arts and crafts event with workshops, exhibits, and a market for locally made items.  This event also includes food, music, and entertainment.  Newcomers and the experienced festival goers will enjoy this year’s event as the Geranium Festival strives to have new activities and traditional ones to make each year special. 

This year over 300 vendors and 25,000 participants are expected!  Free parking and shuttle will be provided from the parking lot of Henry County High School.

McDonough is only 20 miles south of Atlanta in Henry County.  This small town has retained its antebellum charm with a historically preserved downtown area.  McDonough also features private luxury communities like Eage’s Landing and Crystal Lake Golf Course.  McDonough, Georgia residents love this city for its community activities that are great for the whole family!
